Tsunami 101

The University of Texas claims that submarine landslide tsunamis are caused by natural gas erupting through the seafloor like a Texas-sized elephant's pepedi flatulus crepidus (fart). While researchers admitted that the gas emissions were more vigorous than expected, there was no word on any possible blowback. For more information, contact Dr. John A. Goff or Katherine Ellins at the UT Austin Institute for Geophysics (512) 471-6156 or (512) 232-3251 or e-mail goff at utig.ig.utexas.edu.
